In John 15:1 Jesus says these words, “I am the true vine and My Father is the vinedresser.” The next verse continues to tell us that the vines that do not bear fruit will be taken away and those that remain and are fruitful will be continually pruned so that it will bear more fruit. When studying the full chapter of John 15 (AMP), verse 16 reads that “we are chosen, appointed and placed and purposely planted so that we will bear fruit and keep on bearing that our fruit will remain and be lasting.”
As we read this powerful Word about the importance of our relationship with Jesus being our source of life, we can better see why the enemy keeps digging at the roots of our heart, soul and mind to separate us from the Lord. We can better understand our enemies’ characteristics of being inconspicuous, sly, cunning, deceitful and a crafter of lies. Beware of your thoughts that will cause distraction, division and destruction to the fruitfulness of your personal ministry. You have been chosen, so be on guard and alert at all times to pray without ceasing in Jesus name!
John 15:16-17 AMP “You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you. 17 This [is what] I command you; that you love and unselfishly seek the best for one another.
Luke 21:34-36 – “Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Prayer Point: Ask God to make Him the priority in your life. So that your thoughts will always be on Him. When He is the first fruit of your day then Satan won't see cracks in your armor to poke his way through. Ask God to let His Glory cover you and shine through you each second, each minute, each hour of each day. That you will be so FULL of Him that you will walk right, talk right and do right because His Holy Spirit walks for you, speaks for you and puts His thoughts in your mind.
